The title "As the river flows" refers to the inheritance of the Cowansville museum. Year after year, this exhibition opens its doors from the 24th of June to labour day. People from all generations will have a chance to learn more interesting facts around the history of Cowansville.

The small museum located on the second storey of the Bruck House building presents diverse themes that are embellished with texts and pictures that

represent scenes from the most important moments in Cowansville's past.

Pioneers-origins and ambitious projects

You will learn more about the first pioneers that left their names in history like Jacob Ruiter, Peter Cowan and more. The museum traces the story of Cowansville from the past to today while looking at some ambitious projects that helped

the industrial and economic
blossoming of the municipality.

Interesting facts

The exhibition also documents the architectural styles of the old buildings in the region, notably the Bruck House building that was buildt in 1875 having been one of the most important Eastern Township Bank at the time. You can also find more information on different subjects like the train station's history, etc...
